The Maison de la paix is a place for meeting, reflection and action in the field of peace, security and development.
The Maison de la paix is located within walking distance to the Place des Nations, and is situated only 5 kilometres away from Geneva International Airport and from the Cornavin main railway station, in downtown.
Ideally situated in the heart of 'International Geneva' the Mdp has established itself as a centre for international governance. The state-of-the-art glass structure is a global hub for the advancement of innovative solutions in global peace and security and sustainable development.
The building strengthens International Geneva’s role in these key areas and bring new synergies in the search for innovate solutions; it represents a major contribution of the Swiss Confederation and the Canton of Geneva.
The Maison de la paix houses, along with the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, the Small Arms Survey (SAS), the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP), the Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD), the Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), and other organisations active in the field of peace and sustainable development (Interpeace and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development).
